We've stayed there multiple times in the past and friends liked it, too. All in all, we had a great time in Traverse City, and a great stay at the Comfort Inn! One last thing - I am an active member of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE), and was able to get a great rate saving about $40 on a two-day stay.Answer: We always recommend the Bayshore Hotel because it has a great beach and is easily walkable to the restaurant/shopping area on Front St. She got to keep the flowers and vase which are sitting today (a couple of days after our visit) on a table in our home in Battle Creek. This was an exceptionally nice touch which pleased my wife. The hotel manager took it a step further by giving my wife and I a bouquet of fresh flowers in our room. Many of them, from housekeeping to management to facilities maintenance - were kind enough to wish my wife and I a Happy Anniversary. Everyone we met or talked with was professional and service oriented. The one things that impressed me the most was the excellent staff. Although we did not take advantage of the pool or fitness facilities, they appeared to be clean and well maintained. The hotel has ample parking, an indoor pool and hot tub, and a fitness center. The ladies servicing the breakfast area kept the food coming, and made sure that things were clean and orderly. Although the breakfast room was a little tight, my wife and I were comfortable and enjoyed the food. Personally, I liked the biscuits/gravy with bacon/eggs! The food was tasty and very well prepared. The bed was comfortable, and the room was quiet. It was tastefully appointed with a 40" flat-screen TV, fridge, microwave and coffee-maker, and I thought the layout of the jacuzzi and tub worked quite well. Our room was quite spacious, and very clean. We had a very nice room - a King Jacuzzi room. We arrived early and were permitted to check-in. The Traverse City Comfort Inn is centrally located and makes a good jump off point for all of the Traverse City attractions. We chose this hotel based on a previous experience with a Choice Hotel in Pennsylvania last year. My wife and I traveled to Traverse City to celebrate our 31st wedding anniversary, and chose the Comfort Inn to stay for our visit. We took a chance on this Comfort Inn and certainly came out on top! Highly recommended. The price was right at $130 for a holiday weekend ($50 less than any other room I could find). Friendly, helpful and when our toilet was clogged, someone was down within 15 minutes fixing it. However, the surrounding guests were polite and probably aware as we were all pretty quiet and the traffic isn't that bad up there. I will agree with another reviewer that the building is close to the main road and the rooms are not exactly soundproof. The gym and hot tub are a nice additive and the breakfast was plentiful.in fact, we brought it back to our room as the room was full of guests enjoying. The pool wasn't 100% clean and for a heated pool was very chilly, but it wasn't even bad enough to complain. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are adequate.a little small and missing a couple things we could have used (a coat rack or simply a few hooks to hang our jackets on and a stool for our young son who couldn't reach the sink because it's so high). This was the third hotel we've stayed at in Traverse City and it's the best.
